Happy Tuesday- hope you enjoyed the long weekend!

Readers Workshop-We are wrapping up our close read with Wild Weather; your child will be a storm expert!
Math- Topic 9 is on its way. In Topic 9 we will continue our topic of place value, but with the added idea of comparing numbers using the symols <, >, =, comparing numbers on a hundred chart, and noticing the changing values of a number as we compare.
Writing-adding "logical" explanation to our writing. Our focus will be to take any evidence that we have learned and put into our own words.

Updates/Reminders:
2/21- Apollo Theater Trip- Magic Treehouse. Reminder to please pack a bag lunch- we will be returning to Lenart and having lunch in the classroom; no hot lunch will be provided. Dress appropriately for the theater : )
2/23- Read to Succeed reading logs are due. Please turn in to ensure your child receives their ticket to Six Flags
2/28- RAZ Kids reading log- pink sheet- remember to have your child be listening and reading stories at least 3x a week on RAZ kids. Complete log as they read.
Box Tops- keep sending them in; this helps support Lenart.

Invention Convention- Date forms(blue form) are being sent out today. Please use your discretion on timing and what works with your family. I am focusing on the end/due date. Can't wait to see what our little inventors come up with.
